Take Action Now
Manifesto Help Me

“Fathers are three times more likely to die after separation than mothers and suicide is now the biggest killer of men under 50. Only a Minister for Men and Boys can properly address this unprecedented public health emergency.”

Dr Nadim Safdar, Fathers4Justice

Fathers4Justice are calling for urgent political action to address the unprecedented public health emergency affecting Britain’s men and boys. Fathers are three times more likely to die after separation than mothers, and suicide is now the biggest killer of men under 50.
Unlike women, who are represented by a Minister for Women & Equalities, men and boys have no dedicated political representation.

That’s why we are calling for the creation of a new post, a Minister for Men & Boys, to give them an equal voice in government.

We are also calling for a fully funded ‘safety net’, focused on addressing the alarmingly high rates of male suicide, depression and other health issues linked to family breakdown.
Finally, we believe that Shared Parenting is responsible parenting, and are calling for referendums in the UK, Scotland and Ireland, to give mothers and fathers automatic Parental Responsibility and a legal presumption of 50/50 Shared Parenting and Child Support after separation.

Men and boys urgently need an equal voice representing their interests. We ask the
government to act now to ensure men and boys receive the support they deserve and need.

Matt O’Connor, Founder, Fathers4Justice
