Yes she gets the child benefit as that was standard practice when we were together etc.
As it’s the very start of the process there has no been no court awardings (correct term?) yet. I would pick the kids up from nursery and look after them at our house every Wednesday and Thursday, I would leave the house on the Friday to go to work when Claire would take over child care. I would return home after the kids have gone to bed as I finished work at 8pm. I would then take the kids out Saturday and Sunday (normally to my parents) and then return them to our home on Monday and the process would start again. We were living in the house 50% of the time each. I would stay there 3 days 1 week and then 4 days the next and she would do the opposite to me.
I’m just so angered by all this now. The kids were relatively happy with the arrangements we had and for my emotional and physiological well being this has really hit me.
