Hampshire Police Confirm Caroline Nokes MP Involved in Violent Attack on Home of Founder of Fathers4Justice

Hampshire Police have confirmed that Caroline Nokes MP was involved in a violent attack on the home of the founder of Fathers4Justice on 20th February 2014. Police said that the MP “…was treated as a witness by the police to the incident on 20th February.” A letter from the CPS also confirmed the presence of Caroline Nokes MP at the assault stating, “I have carefully considered all the evidence, this includes statements from Mrs Nokes…”

Fathers4Justice say her colleague, Adrian Yalland, forced entry to their property, attempted to enter their house and then assaulted 2 people, including biting one man, before being arrested. The MP was understood to have driven the attacker to the property and was present throughout the attack.

Fathers4Justice Founder Matt O’Connor and Campaign Director Nadine O’Connor said their family and children were being subject to an ongoing and unprecedented campaign of violent political intimidation and harassment by elements of the Conservative Party as a result of fall out from broken Tory promises about shared parenting made at the last election.

Said Nadine O’Connor, ‘This is nothing less than a concerted attempt to frighten us and close Fathers4Justice down. However, the MPs involvement is now subject to ongoing legal action and I will not rest until those responsible for targeting my family and children are brought to justice.’

The group say that a detailed dossier is being complied on the matter. Further legal action is expected and a full statement will be made at a later date. Fathers4Justice say they will be pursuing those responsible by all means necessary.

The group have written to the Conservative Party to call for a full investigation into the matter and to ask them to consider the MPs position in the party in light of action they are taking with respect to David Ruffley MP. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-28451998
