F4J Launch Olympic Campaign this Father’s Day Weekend

Fathers4Justice will launch their ‘Fatherless Games’ campaign at the London 2012 Olympic Clock, Trafalgar Square this Father’s Day weekend.

The group say the campaign includes a planned series of hunger strikes and the targeting of transport links in the capital. F4J have designed a modified London 2012 logo for the campaign here: http://www.facebook.com/Fathers4Justice

The launch begins on Saturday 16th June at 11.00am with a symbolic laying of children’s pictures at the foot of the Olympic clock followed by a barefoot march to Downing Street.

Last month the Met Police failed to secure court restrictions on F4J Founder Matt O’Connor preventing him from going within 100 metres of any Olympic venue or the Olympic Torch relay. O’Connor had previously been prevented from entering the City of Westminster on the State Opening of Parliament.

Said Campaign Director Nadine O’Connor, “We will not be intimidated by draconian ‘Chinese-style’ restrictions preventing peaceful protest in our capital city. This Father’s Day its time to remember the 1 in 3 children who will not see their dads this weekend. It’s time to stop the clock on a fatherless Britain.”
